We Are Open and Taking Orders
We are currently open and delivering orders placed through our website, however at this time our primary focus is on the safety of both staff and customers, therefore all UK Government and Public Health England advise is being strictly adhered to.
As such all office staff are currently working from home. Should you need to contact us please email and we will reply as soon as possible.
Manufacturing operations are continuing across all sites at a reduced capacity in order to comply with social distancing and further official instruction.
Specific delivery dates are still available to select online at the checkout, and we are continuing to despatch orders on the correct days (the day before your delivery date) in expectation that orders will be delivered on your specified date. However Tuffnells, and courier companies across the UK, are experiencing operational strain owing to staff absences and other Coronavirus related issues. This means that although we may despatch an order correctly (the day before delivery) for delivery on your specified date, this could be delayed once the order is with Tuffnells and inside their network.
While we expect most orders to be unaffected, at this point we cannot guarantee all orders will be delivered on time.
Additionally, as factors outside of Tuffnells control have caused a delay in some deliveries, in light of these exceptional circumstances, Tuffnells has taken the measure not to reimburse delivery fees for delayed deliveries. As such we are therefore forced to adopt the same measure.
Delivery Procedure Changes
Safety of staff and customers is both ours and Tuffnells current priority so the following temporary changes to delivery procedures procedures have been made:
- In order to ensure close contact is minimised, drivers will strictly operate a kerbside delivery only, placing items outside addressed property and knocking/call for attention before stepping away to a distance deemed safe to communicate from, while the item is retrieved.
If no-one answers and instruction to leave the delivery has been left, this will be carried out, but please note we will not be liable for loss or damage in this instance.
- We will not require customers to sign for items using our hand-held devices, instead we will log the name of the person taking receipt of the delivery. In the unlikely event that a delivery item is missing or damaged it is therefore paramount that you instruct the driver to record or note the delivery as 'delivered short' or 'delivered damaged'.
