Plinth blocks and rosettes remove the need to use a Mitre Joint on installation. Plinth blocks sit at the foot of the architrave alongside the skirting board at floor level. Rosettes sit at the top of the doorway to join the legs and head of the architrave. Used together they create an impressive grandeur.
Easy Architrave Installation
Aside from the decorative benefits of using plinth blocks and rosettes, they also offer significant benefits when it comes to the installation of mouldings. Choosing to fit rosettes to the top of your doorway will save you having to worry about using a mitre joint and cutting each piece of architrave at 45° in order to join them. Instead the architrave will simply butt up against the rosette, square edge to square edge. Easy!
Complement Your Skirting and Architrave
Add some design style! Plinth blocks and rosettes are perfect for adding a luxurious flourish to a door surround. The addition of matching blocks to all corners of an architrave emphasises the symmetry a doorway, and can help set an elegant tone for an interior design.
