What is MDF skirting board?
Skirtings R Us MDF skirting board is made of high-density, moisture-resistant fiberboard with a smooth profile finish ideal for uniform coverage when painting. MDF skirtings does not suffer from natural defects associated with soft and hard wood like; warps, twists, shakes, splits or knots. This makes it stable over time, easier and a more economical material to work with.
Can I order bespoke skirting and architrave sizes?
Yes you can. Asside from our standard configurations which are made to measure in height (69 - 296mm), thickness (18 - 25mm), length (up to 4.2m) and finish (non-primed - primed), all of which can be configured during the online ordering process, we also provide bespoke profile services to create individually tailored products.
What is a Skirting Board?
A skirting board is a piece of timber fitted to the foot of a wall, used to both protect the bottom of a wall and disguise the gap between the wall plaster and the floor. Skirting boards are usually adorned with a moulded shape, making them both a practical and decorative feature to a rooms interior design.
What size skirting board should I buy?
The skirting board you use should be proportionate to the size of your room. Bigger rooms can take taller skirting boards and smaller rooms should be fitted with shorter skirting board heights so they stay proportionate within a room.
