Grooved architraves are extremely popular, particularly for modern interiors. Being relatively simple in design, the groove on the board acts as an eye catching detail delivering greater character in a modern style. We offer architrave with a single, double or triple groove with rounded, angled or square edges.

For extra effect grooves can be lined up across matching skirting and architrave, resulting in a continuous groove running around the perimeter of your walls and doorways - like in the image above.

Since the grooved designs tend to be relatively smaller in size, we would recommend a 69mm wide architrave to maintain the moulding to flat proportions.
