Uniquely, Rebated Front is a functional architrave, although it can still be use used as a normal architrave. Providing plaster work has been finished square at the edge of the wall, rebated architraves are designed to be inserted flush with the wall, where the plaster stops. The rebate then creates a groove in the very fabric of the wall, and provides a flush architrave with the plaster work. Rebated Front architraves work excellently in modern design schemes. The groove creates a clean shadow gap at the base of the wall, alternatively you could get creative and run LED lighting in the gap. The rebate size on this profile is 18mm H x 9mm D but can be changed if necessary. Please contact us to discuss details.

We also have complete one-sided door sets for single or double door widths which are designed to fit most standard size doorwaysAll sizes made to order and supplied in an unfinished state ready for the customers choice of finish.
Material
Oak
Our Rebated Front Oak Architrave is manufactured from solid European Oak, which has been sustainably sourced from French sawmills
The premium Oak we provide is a natural product graded to Q-S1/2 and has been kiln dried to an average 10% moisture content. This Oak grade has been sorted, is predominantly clear and will feature occasional knotts. While man made materials like MDF are uniform in appearance, Oak is a natual material that will vary from piece to piece. This oak will display varying grains, patterns, colours and knotts between pieces which contribute to this natural products great character, but all of which will vary from piece to piece and are integral to this natural product, and therefore cannot be changed.
Oak Architraves will be supplied unfinished, with knotts unfilled and untreated allowing the customer to install to their prefence.
Storage
Our oak products are machined from kiln dried timber and should be stored in a warm, dry environment. Do not not be stored in cold, damp environments. Before storing make sure all concrete, plaster and other wet works have been carried out.

Rebated Front Oak Architrave is available in a variety of set dimensions.
Height – Our Rebated Front design can be machined onto 3 architrave widths; 50mm, 69mm and 96mm.
Depth – Available in a 20mm thickness.
Length – Rebated Front Oak Architrave can be supplied in either 2.2m, 3m lengths.
Single Door Sets – Consisting of 2 pcs x 2.2m and 1 pcs x 1.1m (1.1m piece often supplied as a full length 2.2m to cut in half).
Double Door Sets – Consisting of 3 x 2.2m lengths.
Please allow 100mm on each end of the length for transit damage and cutting.

Finish
Rebated Front Oak Architrave are supplied in an unfinished state. An oil, wax or varnish finishing product of your own choice can be used to finish the product to your own colour preference.
